What This Map Can and Can’t Tell You
Hail reports are real observations from spotters, the public, and local officials, but they’re samples, not a complete picture. Hail can fall between report points, and a warning means dangerous weather moved through, not that every roof under it was hit. The reverse is also true: no dot on your street doesn’t mean your roof is fine.
The only way to know about your roof is to put someone on it.
