What’s Covered

If We Built It, We Stand Behind It

Every job leaves with two layers of protection: the manufacturer covers the materials, and we cover the way they were put on. You get both in writing at the final walkthrough, registered and ready, before the trucks leave your street.

Our workmanship, for 10 years. If something we installed leaks or fails because of how we installed it, we fix it. No service fee, no argument about whose fault it is.
The materials, by the manufacturer. Architectural shingles typically carry limited lifetime coverage and metal systems decades more. We register your manufacturer warranty for you and hand over the paperwork at the final walkthrough.
The whole system, not just shingles. Flashing, underlayment, ventilation, ice and water shield: if we touched it and it fails because of our work, it's ours to make right.
Transferability. Selling the house? The remaining workmanship coverage transfers to the new owner once, free. A documented, transferable roof warranty is a real line item at closing.

What’s Not

The Honest Fine Print

A warranty you can trust has edges you can see. Here’s where ours stops, said plainly instead of buried on page nine.

New storm damage. A warranty isn't insurance. If hail or wind hits your roof next year, that's an insurance claim, and we'll document it for you the same way we would for any customer.
Work done by someone else. If another contractor, a satellite installer, or a solar crew alters the roof, we can't stand behind what they touched. Call us first and we'll coordinate so coverage survives.
Neglect we warned about in writing. If an annual checkup flags something and it goes unaddressed for years, the damage that follows isn't workmanship. This is exactly why the checkup is free.

Every Checkered Flag customer gets a free roof checkup each year, for as long as you own the home. We’ll email you when yours is due; you can also book one any time.

We Walk It

Around each anniversary of your job, we walk the whole roof: shingles, flashing, boots, gutters. You do not climb anything.

We Photograph It

Every checkup comes back as dated photos of your actual roof, building a record that makes any future insurance claim easier.

You Get the Truth

A plain-English note on what we found. Most years: everything looks right. Small problems stay small, and your warranty stays clean.

What exactly is the Checkered Flag Promise?

Three commitments on every job. One: the job isn't done until you've walked it with us and waved us off, and the magnetic nail sweep is finished. Two: our workmanship is covered for 10 years, in writing, from a company with a local address. Three: you get a free annual roof checkup for as long as you own the home, so small problems get caught while they're still small.

How does the free annual checkup work?

Around each anniversary of your job we'll email you a reminder. Book it, and we walk the roof, photograph everything, and send you the photos with a plain-English note. Most years the answer is that everything looks right. That dated record also protects you: if a storm claim ever comes up, you can show the adjuster exactly what the roof looked like before.

Who do I call if something goes wrong in year four?

The same number that's on this page: (317) 760-2666. You'll reach us, not an answering service in another state. We look at warranty calls first, before new sales work, because a roof we already built is our name on a street we already work.

Is the warranty really free? What's the catch?

There's no catch and no registration fee. The honest economics: standing behind our work costs us far less than advertising does, because a homeowner with a ten-year warranty and a yearly checkup tells their neighbors. You're the marketing plan.
